Solving ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE or No Data Received error

Method 1: Try resetting Winsock

Step 1: Go to Windows key, type out Command prompt, to run as administrator, right-click on the command prompt.

Method 2: Try Resetting the Network Stack

Often, resetting the network settings can fix the ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE or No Data Received error. For this, you can reset the network using two ways. Follow the below steps to reset the network: 

Step 1: The first option includes initiating the Command prompt, then running the cmd as administrator. 

Step 2: Type in the command prompt the following and press enter after typing each.

  • ipconfig /release (press enter)
  • ipconfig /renew (press enter)

Step 3: Reboot the computer or PC, check if the error is solved or not. 

Step 4: The second option involves further going to Chrome Browser and open settings. Go to Show Advanced Settings and select Reset. 

Step 5: Now you can Reset Google Chrome, through the reset button. 

You can ascertain if the above solution has proved to be helpful, otherwise, you can proceed to the next solution. 

Method 3: Disable the Antivirus, Firewall, and VPNs

Sometimes, the problem may lie with Antivirus that might block some websites from accessing or cause interruptions when they are running. A Firewall on the computer or PC may act the same. Whereas VPNs manage the location, so it can hinder your location of the Internet connection. Or the VPN of the website may be blocked by the network connection of that area.
